A tour is not the whole save
The official story preview describes selecting events, visiting the paddock and earning or buying parts at Hibi’s shop. Too many crashes can end a tour. Restarting that attempt does not establish that every permanent unlock is lost.

What resets and what carries over
Fuse Games distinguishes these progression layers in its 6 October Xbox Wire interview. Archavia separately reports persistent Tuning Points and Favours.
Archavia’s roadmap places elimination at the start of the current act. Restarting a tour is different from deleting your campaign save; this guide does not provide a verified save-reset procedure.

| Progression layer | What happens between tours |
|---|---|
| Temporary vehicle stats | Built during the current run |
| Installed parts | Selected during the run; normally up to five |
| Permanent vehicle-stat upgrades | Persist outside each tour |
| Racer Style upgrades | Permanent progression |
| Larger part pools and Favours | Unlocked for later runs |
Plan one goal at a time
For a first completion, prioritize finishing the story and learning how the tour’s resources work. Later runs can target a specific Favour, style or trophy. The roadmap reports that Clandestine Aid is an Act 2 Favour; if you are cleaning up Favours, do not assume every encounter appears in Act 3.
How Champion fits into progression
Archavia reports that completing the campaign once unlocks Champion. Racer of Legend then requires completing Act 3 on that difficulty. The specific trophy page explains the scope so you can avoid planning an unnecessary full three-act replay.
