Start with Sebulba in Act 2
The unlock video shows Sebulba offering Tales of Podracing during Act 2. Treat this as a campaign progression target, rather than looking for a purchasable podracer at the start.
- Reach Act 2 through the story campaign.
- Speak to Sebulba and enter Tales of Podracing.
- Earn the required Gold results to progress through the challenges shown in the video.
The later Hibi test
Gaming with Griff Griffin then shows a route after the Act 2 confrontation with Kestar: speak to Hibi in Act 3, take the pod test on Tatooine, and look for additional podracing events on the map. This is the author’s demonstrated sequence; we have not replayed it ourselves.
Unlocking and customizing are different questions
The developer FAQ says podracers cannot be customized. Unlocking their races does not turn them into the same parts-and-upgrades system as speeders. The four-class comparison explains their airbrake and ramjet trade-offs.
Galactic Racer Campaign and Run Progression — Separate current-tour risk from the progress that carries into later attempts.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to buy Deluxe for podracing?
The cited unlock route uses campaign progression. The three listed Deluxe vehicles are a bike, a landspeeder and a skim speeder, not podracers.
Is this a verified step-by-step test by this site?
No. It is an attributed route from a player video, cross-checked against the published trophy guide. Check the in-game event requirements if your version differs.
