Compare the four driving styles
This is a class comparison, not a complete vehicle roster or a ranking of the fastest builds. The trade-offs below summarize the official vehicle introduction.
Scroll sideways to compare all columns.
| Class | What stands out | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Landspeeder | Stable handling, drifting and durability | Lower emphasis on outright speed |
| Speeder bike | Agility and a temporary Kinetic Burst | Light armor; burst makes control harder |
| Skim speeder | Knife Edge cornering | Slow acceleration |
| Podracer | High speed and ramjets | Airbraking costs substantial speed |
Begin with handling you can read
If you are still learning how the game responds, the landspeeder is the official starting recommendation. Our suggestion is to compare another class after you can recognize its cornering trade-off, rather than treating a different class as an automatic upgrade.

Why they do not handle like ordinary cars
The developers describe familiar physical references: cars for landspeeders, motorcycles for bikes, planes for skim speeders, and a chariot-like relationship for podracers. They also explain that repulsorcraft grip is not modeled as ordinary tire traction. These are design explanations, not measured lap-time comparisons.
Podracer speed is a separate decision
Podracers emphasize speed, while their airbrake trades velocity for tighter turns. The developer FAQ says they cannot be customized. That support statement does not establish when you unlock them, and this comparison does not claim every class is immediately selectable.

Choosing a vehicle class
Does this list every named vehicle?
No. These are four driving classes. A full model roster and its unlock conditions require separate evidence.
Is one class always the best?
The cited sources explain different handling traits. They do not establish a universally fastest class across every course or build.
